2025 Sector CSR Booklet: A Lasting Commitment Alongside Our Dairy Farmers

For more than 10 years, the Laiterie de Saint-Denis-de-l’Hôtel has been building, step by step, a committed, rigorous and responsible dairy sector. Alongside more than 560 dairy farmers, we are shaping a sector that combines expertise, respect for living beings and innovation, to meet the growing expectations of society and consumers.

Our 2025 Sector CSR Booklet, which we are pleased to share today, reviews the actions carried out this year to strengthen our social, environmental and economic approach across the entire dairy value chain.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, LSDH Group publishes its 2025 CSR Report.

This document illustrates a CSR approach built on the Group’s historic values: Passion, Ambition and Humanity. It reflects a commitment structured around five key pillars: Governance, Connection, Sustainable Food, Environment and Performance.

This report highlights the continuation of these commitments through concrete actions, including:

  • Developing a decarbonization roadmap, structured through the collective “Décarbon’Alim” initiative.
  • Active support for plant-based sectors and the promotion of local production through tripartite contracts.
  • Developing a more balanced diet, with 70% of recipes reformulated to reduce sugar content.
  • Continued investment in workplace safety, marked by the “CAP 0 Accident” initiative and the training of 230 managers.
  • A CSR culture embodied daily by the Colibri network, which brings together ambassadors at every company site.

All these actions aim to offer healthier, more responsible food, with consideration for those who produce and those who consume, while respecting the environment and available resources.

The People Behind Our Milk!

Every year, LSDH Group presents an Excellence Award in each of its three collection areas. Not a leaderboard. Not a ranking. Simply an opportunity to visit farmers who do their job well, with no penalties over the year, and to say thank you. To film them. To tell the story of their daily lives, their choices, what they stand for.
Because being a dairy farmer is a demanding commitment, still too often overlooked, and yet essential to our food.

Here are the three 2025 winners:

West Zone – Sébastien, SCEA de la Neslière

Sébastien set up his farm in 2003 with his father and uncle. He has been an LSDH partner for three years. An entrepreneur and a natural handyman, he notably equipped his barns with water mattresses to improve his cows’ comfort. A discreet investment, but one that says everything about his philosophy.

« Every time we do something extra for the animals, they give it right back to us. »

It’s with this conviction that he opened the doors of his farm to us. With generosity and straightforwardness.

Centre-Val de Loire Zone – Nicolas and Béatrice

Nicolas set up his farm in 1997, alongside his parents. Béatrice joined him in 2018. They have been supplying milk to LSDH since 2013 and are involved in the “C’est qui le Patron ?! La Marque du Consommateur” initiative.
Last summer, we spent time with them. We talked about their story, their doubts, their relationship with the dairy. About passing the farm on to Baptiste and Mathilde, and what it really means to hand over the reins. About the trade-offs, too. About the sacrifices this profession demands, which are rarely talked about.
This testimony isn’t meant to embellish. It’s meant to show.
Thank you to Nicolas, Béatrice, Baptiste and Mathilde for their welcome and their trust.

Bresse (Ain) – Le GAEC des Mirtanges, in Bresse

Wilfried, Nicolas, Franck, Marc-Antoine and Nicolas: five partners, five different ways of working, an organisation that holds together because it’s flexible and because it relies on one unchanging daily ritual: breakfast together every morning.
Le GAEC des Mirtanges is involved in “C’est qui le Patron ?!” and has made concrete choices for the future: a co-generation micro-methanisation unit since 2018, and a new building soon to be fitted with solar panels. Decisions made for the long term, just like the best relationships.
They deserve this Excellence Award for our Bresse collection area for all of this, and for everything the numbers don’t show.

These three videos were produced as part of our initiative to showcase the dairy sector. They reflect our belief that the relationship between a farmer and their dairy is not just a contract. It is built over time, through trust, and through respect for the work accomplished.

On 27 February 2026, LSDH Group officially completed the acquisition of Biscuiterie de Chambord, born in 1978 around the recipe for the Palet Solognot. The deal is part of the group’s long-standing diversification strategy and its commitment to celebrating the culinary heritage of its territories.

Based in the Centre-Val de Loire region, with a workshop opened in Maslives in 2023, Biscuiterie de Chambord will continue to run autonomously, led by its 50 employees.

“We met a team driven by a passion and values that resonate with our own,” says Emmanuel Vasseneix, Chairman of LSDH Group. “We want to keep growing the company by relying on committed teams with recognised expertise, built on proven know-how and quality, indulgent products made in our regions.”

This year, LSDH Group chose to build its greeting cards around human and community commitment.
Through this calendar, we wanted to shine a light on the women and men of LSDH Group who give their time, energy and heart, often far from the spotlight. They coach children, support families, help vulnerable people, and take part in the community, cultural or sporting life of their local area.
They do what committed people do: they create connection, they care, they bring people together.
Without ever seeking recognition, these employees bring to life, every day, values that go beyond the company. This calendar pays tribute to them. It tells the story of their commitments through faces, smiles, passions, and that simple but essential desire to be useful to those around them.
These initiatives say a great deal about who we are collectively: a group where Humanity, Passion and Ambition are expressed beyond our professional activities as well.

A community-driven, participatory initiative

This greeting card is also an invitation to take action.
If you receive one of our greeting cards, you can choose which charity to support using the code printed on it. For every vote recorded, LSDH Group commits to donating €0.50 to the selected charity.
A simple gesture, to make a real contribution to the development of these local initiatives that enrich our regions, each in its own way.

Discover the charities through interviews with our employees, filmed during the photo shoot

Behind the scenes of the photo shoot

The video below takes you behind the scenes of the photo shoot with our committed employees. A sincere moment, true to who they are, reflecting the authenticity and diversity of the journeys celebrated in this calendar.

We would like to thank Karine Faby, photographer and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, for capturing the commitment of our employees with such sensitivity.

We warmly thank everyone who is committed on a daily basis, everyone taking part in this community initiative, as well as all our employees for their energy, generosity and trust.

LSDH Group wishes you a wonderful 2026, full of bright projects, meaningful encounters and beautiful moments shared together.

A new milestone for the dairy sector: signing of a tripartite agreement between Intermarché, APLBC and LSDH Group
On 9 October in Laval, Intermarché, APLBC (Association des Producteurs de Lait du Bassin Centre) and LSDH Group signed a new tripartite agreement for consumption milk.

This signing marks the first tripartite collaboration between Intermarché and LSDH Group, an important step in strengthening sustainable and fair models within the French dairy sector.

At the same time, a second tripartite agreement was also signed between Intermarché, APLBC and Novandie for the fresh dairy segment, reflecting a broader collective commitment to the sector.

A signing close to consumers

For the first time, this signing took place directly in an Intermarché store, in front of customers, at the store owned by Mr and Mrs Jouzel in Laval. A highly symbolic choice, underlining the importance of the connection between farmers, processors, retailers… and consumers.

The day began at the farm of Lucette, Pierrick, Florian and Sébastien Hériveau, APLBC member farmers, who warmly welcomed the partners to share their daily life and commitment.

A huge thank you to them for their warm welcome and availability, which made this moment particularly powerful and meaningful.

A shared ambition: creating lasting value

Farmers, manufacturers and retailers share a common ambition here: creating value and ensuring the long-term future of dairy production in France. This agreement reflects a shared commitment to the long term, providing visibility and economic stability to every player in the chain.

Foundational partnerships for food sovereignty

For LSDH Group, tripartite agreements are much more than commercial arrangements. They represent an essential lever for supporting farmers, strengthening French supply chains and contributing to food sovereignty. By providing long-term visibility and building trusted relationships with all partners, these agreements help to consolidate sustainable, resilient farming models rooted in their regions.

Shared values

This partnership is built on strong values: dialogue, trust, transparency and the pursuit of the common good.
Principles that have long guided LSDH Group’s actions alongside farmers.

« This type of partnership goes beyond the simple contractual dimension. It reflects a shared vision for the future of our sector and strengthens the role of farmers within a sustainable, foundational model », says LSDH’s Supply Chain team.

About APLBC

The Association des Producteurs de Lait du Bassin Centre (APLBC) brings together farmers committed to collective and contractual initiatives, with particular attention paid to sustainability and fair compensation for farmers.

Reducing waste and creating value.

Every year, between 3,000 and 3,500 tonnes of Corsican clementines are processed at the L’Atelier Corse Fruits et Légumes site in Linguizetta.
Until now, these fruits were often thrown away even though they were perfectly good — their only flaw being their size or appearance.
Thanks to this tripartite partnership, these volumes will now be turned into juice, giving farmers a new source of income while significantly reducing food waste.

« Signing an agreement on fruit that we used to leave in our fields because it didn’t meet fresh-market standards, and being able to build partnerships around that fruit, first proves that we express the Corsican terroir, and second, that we can secure the future of our farms », explains Vincent Marcadale, a citrus grower partnered with Atelier Corse.
« Of course, the prices aren’t the same, but we’re talking about fruit we used to throw away… which used to even cost us money. »

A structured, sustainable supply chain

This three-year tripartite agreement brings together:

  • 14 Corsican farmers, growing on 120 hectares,
  • Terre d’agrumes and L’Atelier Corse Fruits et Légumes, farming and processing partners,
  • and LSDH Group, responsible for bottling.

It guarantees farmers visibility, secured volumes and prices that can be adjusted based on their production costs.

« For us, this is an important regional commitment », says Bertrand Morand, head of supply chain partnerships at Système U.
« We want to promote food sovereignty and French farming. This partnership is part of a long-term approach, working on specific, resilient supply chains. »

A commitment at the heart of LSDH’s DNA

This initiative builds on LSDH Group’s long-standing tripartite agreements in the dairy sector, which have helped strengthen French farming supply chains over the long term.
By joining this initiative, LSDH is once again putting its expertise at the service of:

  • food sovereignty,
  • showcasing French terroirs,
  • and environmentally responsible farming.

The only clementine grown in France, PGI-labelled since 2007, the Corsican clementine celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

« This partnership perfectly illustrates our purpose: building strong, sustainable supply chains by relying on committed farmers, to offer consumers quality French products », says Emmanuel Vasseneix, Chairman of LSDH.
