The Plant Extraction Workshop
LSDH and Supply Chains
LSDH never stops developing agricultural supply chains as close as possible to its production facilities, whenever possible. With the creation of the Atelier Inové, a plant juice extraction and research center, the group is also developing a soybean supply chain nearby.
The Challenges of This Project
- Have a plant raw material processing facility right next to our current site, thereby reducing tanker transport: around 500 fewer trucks per year for soybeans.
- Develop local sourcing of raw materials as soon as possible.
- To this end, LSDH will support French producers, and in particular producers in the Centre region, in developing new crops (organic for 80% of volumes).
- Ensure and maintain full traceability of products throughout the chain, from upstream to downstream.
- Innovate in the research of new products and work with research institutes to identify the varieties best suited from an agronomic and nutritional standpoint.
- Develop local jobs: around twenty employees at launch and potentially 60 in the long run
- Support regional development: €32 million invested by our Group

Biodiversity Considered From the Start of the Project, With Compensatory Measures
Aware of the challenges related to preserving biodiversity and combating soil sealing, we commissioned a flora and fauna study before construction began.
This study identified the various species present on the site and the project’s potential impact on biodiversity. No rare plant species were found.
For wildlife, a few protected species were recorded: reptiles including lizards, bats and amphibians. It was therefore decided to preserve certain areas conducive to maintaining their habitat and supporting their development.
- Clearing was carried out during the winter period on an area of 6.5 hectares, corresponding solely to what was needed for the construction of the plant.
- A wooded strip to the North and West was preserved to maintain a green belt around the Atelier INOVé site. This strip will be maintained without human intervention (senescence).
- A forest offset of 10 hectares where nearly 25,000 trees were planted on a plot near Sully-sur-Loire. It is made up of 80% oak and 20% hornbeam and alder. Monitoring will be carried out for 5 years to ensure the trees grow properly.
